In high school, I didn't like thunderstorms. In fact, I was a bit scared of them, to be honest. I've grown out of that the last couple of years, but my perspective on them has really changed in the last couple of weeks.
1. A couple of weeks ago, I drove up the mountain with someone to watch the lightning storm over the valley. G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. Also being with this person was fun. :)
2. Tonight, when I was babysitting two 2 year olds, they were so cute about the storm. We opened the front door to watch the rain and they were mesmerized. They just sat and watched and smelled the rain and looked for lightning and thunder. Mia got so excited when she would see the lightning, and Coop liked hearing the thunder. The looks of amazement on their faces were so sweet and tender. I loved it. It made me look at the storm like them. It really was amazing.
